Planet drishti in Vedic Astrology

Planet drishti in Vedic Astrology

In Vedic Astrology, the placement and influence of planets on each other are analyzed to gain insights into a person's life and destiny. One of the most important factors in this analysis is the concept of "Drishti" or planetary aspect. The term Drishti refers to the influence that a planet has on other planets or houses in a birth chart.

According to Vedic Astrology, each planet has the ability to influence other planets and houses through its aspect or Drishti. The planetary aspect is determined by the degree of separation between two planets in a birth chart. Each planet has a certain number of degrees of influence that extend from its position. This influence can either be beneficial or malefic, depending on the nature of the planet and the sign it is placed in.

Here is a brief overview of the planetary aspects in Vedic Astrology:

Sun's Drishti: The Sun's Drishti affects the 7th house from its position. It also affects the 4th, 8th, and 12th houses from its position, to a lesser extent.

Moon's Drishti: The Moon's Drishti affects the 7th and 12th houses from its position. It also affects the 4th and 8th houses from its position, to a lesser extent.

Mars' Drishti: Mars' Drishti affects the 4th, 7th, and 8th houses from its position.

Mercury's Drishti: Mercury's Drishti affects the 7th and 10th houses from its position. It also affects the 4th and 8th houses from its position, to a lesser extent.

Jupiter's Drishti: Jupiter's Drishti affects the 5th, 7th, and 9th houses from its position.

Venus' Drishti: Venus' Drishti affects the 7th and 12th houses from its position. It also affects the 4th and 8th houses from its position, to a lesser extent.

Saturn's Drishti: Saturn's Drishti affects the 3rd, 7th, and 10th houses from its position.

Rahu's Drishti: Rahu's Drishti affects the 5th, 7th, and 9th houses from its position.

Ketu's Drishti: Ketu's Drishti affects the 5th, 7th, and 9th houses from its position.

Each planet's Drishti has a unique influence on the houses that it aspects. For example, Jupiter's Drishti on the 5th house can indicate a strong influence of wisdom, education, and creativity in the person's life. Similarly, Mars' Drishti on the 8th house can indicate a potential for accidents, injuries, or other sudden and unexpected events in the person's life.

In addition to analyzing the planetary aspects in a birth chart, Vedic Astrology also considers the strength and placement of each planet to gain a more comprehensive understanding of a person's life and destiny. By studying the planetary aspects and other factors, an astrologer can provide valuable insights and guidance on how to navigate the challenges and opportunities of life.
